Mineral King Fishing Pond is very near our cabin.  Actually when children get tired of fishing they usually go swimming.  It is one of my few landscapes that doesn't have a blue sky. It was a bright morning sunshine which created deep shadows that I like to paint.  It had a lot of detail and proved to be a challenge to paint all the rocks.  This painting is a wrap and needs no frame.  It is also painted on all 4 sides of the wrap proving another challenge but I was satisfied with the results.
